HOME…
Converting your loft space to an extra room is much more cost effective than moving house for extra space, especially with the current house climate. Not only are creating more space but you are also adding value to your home.
Loft conversions can vary in style; from roofs requiring dormers, to hipped roofs requiring gable conversions. All loft conversions have individual style ranging from a bedroom with en-suite, to using velux windows to create extra light or French doors that open to a Juliet balcony. Whichever type of loft conversion you envision, we aim to fulfill your requirements where possible.
A loft conversion can only be deemed as a habitable room if it meets with the following requirements:
- > Plans are approved by building control whether it’s through the local council or a private organisation.
- > Work is routinely inspected and passed by one of these organisations.
- > Materials used comply with current building regulations
- > A proper fixed staircase is used
- > Fire doors are fitted were applicable
- > There’s a minimal height restriction
- > Smoke alarms are fitted throughout
- > An electrical certificate is supplied
